Welcome To ‘Quiet Hour’ In Our Stores

We’re introducing a Quiet Hour for the first hour of every day, so you can choose the kind of Molton Brown shopping experience that suits you best.

What Is Quiet Hour?

We understand that certain sights and sounds in shops are overwhelming for those with a neurodifference or others who experience sensory sensitivities. That’s why we’re dedicating one hour of quieter shopping from April 2024, starting with a trial of five stores across the UK:

  • Bluewater
  • Brighton
  • Exeter
  • Manchester city
  • Silverburn

For opening times, ask one of our Team Members or find your nearest store here.

What Can I Expect When I Visit?

We’ll switch off the music and wait for you to approach us, creating a calmer environment where everyone feels at ease. If you’d like to know more about a product or experience our complimentary services, including a Personal Fragrance Consultation or a signature Hand & Arm Massage, our friendly teams will be on hand to help, ready when you are. For any extra guidance, please feel free to pick up one of our in-store Support Cards – this will let the team know you require assistance.

“As representatives of the Kao EMEA - All Abilities Community, we are incredibly excited to launch a pilot of our Quiet Hours initiative at Molton Brown stores. As a community, we champion inclusivity and are passionate about integrating it into all areas of our organisation: we’re on a journey to continually improve all aspects of disability inclusion at Molton Brown and Kao. With many members of our community also having disabilities and family members with disabilities or neuro-differences, we see the challenges people with disability and neurodiversity confront on a daily basis. We are proud that through this initiative we can offer Molton Brown customers a neuro-inclusive shopping environment.”

Suzie Forbes, Brand Manager, Kao EMEA All Abilities Community

“We like to think of our stores as a place where you can come to experience the very best of our brand, completely immersive, stimulating all of the senses. We also appreciate though, that for some people that stimulation may not be for them, so we have created quite hours where anyone who wishes to can come and browse in a tranquil environment, sampling everything we have to offer and receiving the expert advice of our team only if they ask for it.”

Steve Clark, Senior Director, Retail & Hotel
